The Port Botany Terminal 3 Project involves constructing a new container terminal for Sydney International Container Terminals Limited (SICTL). The terminal is owned by Hutchison Port Holdings, the world’s largest freight operator. The project site is on 46 hectares of reclaimed land.
Lis-con is constructing some of the project’s critical sections, including approximately 80,000m3 of concrete paving, 3 high-voltage substations and capping beams that support the heavy duty stacking crane system.
Laing O’Rourke has established rigorous worksite safety policies, ranging from Mission Zero and Safe Spine to effective policing of safety PPE before personnel are given site entry. Throughout the project a ‘0’ on-site accident record was maintained.
